ABOUT THE PROJECT

The Russian experts tutoring project on the AIDS problem and development of communities is organised by the AIDS Canadian-Russian Project in partnership with Casey House Hospice for rendering assistance to the Russian national program of struggle with AIDS in training of the medical workers and in creation and development of non-governmental AIDS-SERVICE organizations.

PARTICIPANTS

In struggle with AIDS-INFECTION and AIDS in Russia "Russian Project on Experts Training on AIDS's Problem and Development of the Communities" combines efforts of Canadian and Russian experts and representatives of communities.

PARTNERS

Canada AIDS Russia Project and Casey House Hospice participate in this project from the Canadian side. St.-Petersburg Consortium consisting of several establishments, responsible for conduction of AIDS control, participates in this project from the Russian side.

RESEARCH

Within this project experts training and the scientific research are conducted in the five basic directions (thematic groups - TG)

• TG 1 – epidemiology, epidemiological control and testing;
• TG 2 – Clinical aspects;
• TG 3 – Consulting, social and psychological aid;
• TG 4 – Preventive medicine and education;
• TG 5 – Cooperation with public organizations.
