Vadim I. Mazurov

He was born on February 18, 1945 in Moscow. In 1969 he graduated from the Military Medical Academy with honors. In 1970 he entered the Department of Faculty Therapy of the Military Medical Academy in the doctoral program. In 1974 he defended the doctoral thesis and was assigned the Senior Resident Clinic of Therapy No. 1 for improvement of the Military Medical Academy's physicians.

From 1976 to 1987 he passed the career from the teacher of the Department of Therapy for physicians improvement named after N. S. Molchanov up to the Head of the Department of Therapy of Military Medical Academy. In 1983 he defended post - doctoral thesis and in 1986 he received an academic degree of Professor.

In 1990s the first transplantations of osteal brain to the patients with hemoblastoses were carried out with his participation. In 1994 for a series of works in actual issues of interior diseases the title of the Honored Scientist of the Russian Federation was awarded.

In March 2000 he was elected the corresponding member of the Russian Academy of Medicine.

Upon his supervision 6 post-doctoral and 21 doctoral theses have been defended. He is the author of 358 scientific works, among them 4 monographs, a textbook and 6 methodical manuals.
